We are educators supporting educators by developing content creation and dissemination; exploring avant-garde teaching and learning methods as well as ways to present and share information for meaning creation. Our approach understands learning as an open, non-linear, and individual process dictated by perceptions of our own strengths (and limitations) and interactions with the world. It is a complex adaptive system where even a small change in any element can affect the whole. Enhancing the complexity of learning is the interconnectedness of the arts and humanities–mediating or being mediated by technology and science, allowing one’s creative expression to intrinsically intersect, enrich, and draw upon these different fields. With this understanding of the complexity of perceptions and processes involved in learning, we ground our teaching in kindness, passion, and openness.
Understanding that education is a key element in the promotion of social equity, we rely on open source, shareware and Creative Commons applications and content (Open Educational Resources). Open work with instructors, administrators, and students to develop and implement courses and educational resources that are intuitive and and generative in function so to promote collaboration and peer learning.
We develop courses in Learning Management Systems such as Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle; and/or create unique Learning Management Systems in Drupal or Joomla.
